His Smile

He definitely had his very own style,
But more outstanding was his smile.
No matter where you saw him night or day
His smile was there and it could easily sway

Your whole attitude and your outlook
Whether in person or smiling from a book.
At times his smile was very weary
And he used often to hide his pain and misery.

That smile could be very serious
And in a split second very mysterious.
His smile was always so true and tender,
For with us he was never a pretender.

There were times his smile was even elfish,
But at all times it was unselfish.
His smile was loved by the legion
In every corner, in every region.

When we look back in retrospect
We suddenly realize; this smile was perfect.
ELVIS always had the smile of an achiever
And with faith in God he made many a believer.

There are a few who believe from his smile
we have been separated,
But we who love him so, ~know that it has never faded.
His smile alone was a sensation,
And from it we received deep inspiration,

Because we know, one day, he will again smile at us face to face,
When our troubles are over and we take leave of this earthly race.
But until then we will just close our eyes and see
The most beautiful smile of all,
the smile of ELVIS PRESLEY.
